These simple rules are for your safety
Follow these instructions in preparation for using the Facility. Please note that Under The Sink can only accept household waste. Material that is related to a business, even a home based business, will not be accepted by Under The Sink.
At the facility, follow the directional signs and stop under the canopy. Please wait for a staff member to attend to you. The staff person will have a short form for you to complete while they unload the chemicals from your vehicle onto a cart.

Always store chemicals in their original container.
Combining chemicals can be dangerous. Don’t combine chemicals unless there are manufacturer’s directions on how to do so.
Tighten all lids before transporting.
Place the containers inside a box so they remain upright. We suggest lining the box with plastic or newspaper to collect any spills or leaks.
Place leaking or damaged containers inside a heavy or double plastic bag. Only one leaking or damaged container per bag.
Label any unmarked containers. If you don’t know what the chemical is, ask others in your household who may know and write down their comments.
Place the box of containers in a level place in your vehicle. In the trunk or bed of the truck is preferred.
If transporting the containers inside the driver’s cabin, open two windows slightly to allow fresh air to enter.
Go directly to the facility after packing your vehicle. Don’t run errands, go to work, or park your vehicle in the sun while the chemicals are inside your vehicle. The vapor build up could be dangerous!
